The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is all set to release the NCHMCT Application Form for the selection of candidates for its participating Institutes. NCHMCT Eligibility Criteria
An eligibility criterion is the set of norms and procedures which a candidate must follow in order to get allowed in the examination conducted by the NCHMCT. The candidates should, therefore, check out the eligibility laid out for the NCHMCT JEE 2023 Examination.Educational Qualification for NCHMCT JEE Exam
Here are the details related to the eligibility through the qualifying examination –- The candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination or follow the format of 10+2 examinations. The candidates in the final year of Intermediate are also eligible for the examination provided they provide the necessary passing certificate on or before 30 September 2023. They must have the provisional certificate at the time of counseling.
- The candidates must have English elective as one of their subjects in the class 12 Board examinations. Passing the English examination is mandatory for obtaining eligibility.
- The candidates should belong to the following set of qualifying examination as mandated by the NCHMCT –
- Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
- Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination conducted by a recognized Board/University
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University
- H.S.C. Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned state
- National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the subjects.
Age Criteria for NCHMCT
The candidates must also follow the eligibility criteria as far as their age is concerned –- For General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates – the Upper limit is 22 years as on 1 July 2023 and born after 1 July 1996.
- For SC/ST candidates – Upper age limit is 25 years as on 1 July 2023 and born after 1 July 1993.
