MH CET Law Merit List 2020
State Common Entrance Test Cell will release the MH CET Law Merit List 2020 within a week after the declaration of result. MH CET law 2020 merit list will have the name of qualified candidates only. It will be in descending order i.e, candidates with higher marks will get a higher rank.
It will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam. The candidates who have qualified the entrance exam, only their name will be included in the merit list. The candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling on the basis of this merit list. Further, it will be also used for seat allotment. The candidates whose name will be there on the merit list, allowed to participate in the counselling process.

- Maharashtra candidature
- All India candidature
- NRI/PIO/Foreign nationals candidature
- Minority candidature
1. Maharashtra state candidature
- Type A: A candidate who was born in Maharashtra
- Type B: Father or mother of the candidate having domicile of Maharashtra
- Type C: The father/mother of the candidate is an employee of central govt. And posted in Maharashtra before the last date to submit the application form
- Type D: The Father/mother of the candidate is an employee of Maharashtra govt.
- Type E: The candidate passing 10th and 12th examination or equivalent from a recognized institution of disputed Maharashtra - Karnataka border area having MARATHI mother tongue
2. All India candidature
Candidates having Indian nationality who have passed their 10th and 12th from government recognized institution outside of Maharashtra come under this category
3. NRI/PIO/Foreign nationals candidature
These candidates will not have to apply or appear for the MH CET Law entrance test, they just need to apply for CAP rounds as scheduled.
4. Minority candidature
The candidates who have passed their 10th and 12th from Maharashtra or domiciled in Maharashtra fall under specific categories or minorities come under this category.

MH CET Law 2020 Tie-Breaking process
If two or more candidate has scored the same marks then it is known as a tie. In such cases, DHE has defined the tie-breaking procedure.
Steps to Break the Tie
For LLB 3 year program
- Candidates with higher marks in their qualifying exam will be given preference in the ranking.
- Candidates with higher aggregate marks in 10+2.
For LLB 5 year program
- The higher percentage in the qualifying examination.
- The higher percentage of marks in the first language at 10+2 or equivalent.
- The higher percentage of marks in 10th
- Higher marks in English at 10th or equivalent level
MAH CET Law 2020 Merit List Importance
- The merit is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the MH CET Law 2020 entrance exam.
- The name/roll no. of the candidates will be in descending order i,e. Higher rank to lower rank.
- The allotment of the seat during the counseling will be based on the merit list.
- The candidates who have qualified the entrance examination only their name will be mentioned in the merit list.
