Exam pattern of the IP University BCA entrance exam
IP University will be conducting Common Entrance Test (CET) for BCA 2023 at various exam centres. Students interested in pursuing Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) from colleges affiliated to the Indraprastha University will have to appear in a common entrance test (CET) and should fill IPU BCA Application Form before April 2023. The exam will take place in May 2023.

All exam pattern details are as follows:
The exam will be conducted on the pen paper or offline format. The exam is not going to be conducted online. Students have to mark answers on the OMR sheet provided to them. Marking more than one option will be considered as a wrong answer and negative marking will be applicable in such cases.
The language of the paper will be English alone.
The IPU CET BCA question pattern is such that all the questions are in the multiple choice and objective format and there will be four answers given for every question and students have to mark the choice they think is correct.
Answers have to be marked on the OMR sheet using blue or black ball point pen only.

Percentagewise weightage of sections:
If percentage wise distribution of marks was to be taken into account there is 30% weightage for Maths and computer awareness each, 25% weightage for general awareness related to IT and science and 15% weightage for English.

There are 150 questions to be solved in 150 minutes which means there is one minute per question.
The total number of marks is 600 which implies that every question is worth 4 marks.
Last, of all, there is also negative marking. For every incorrect answer, the student loses 1 mark.
