DU LLB Merit list 2020

NTA will release the DU LLB merit list 2020 just after the declaration of result on 25th June 2020. Merit list will contain information like marks and rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. DU LLB 2020 merit list can be downloaded from the official website, no login will be required for this. The DU LLB 2020 merit list will be having merit rank of candidates in descending order.

It will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam. The candidates who have qualified the entrance exam, only their name will be included in the merit list. The candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling on the basis of this merit list. Further, it will be also used for seat allotment. The candidates whose name will be there on the merit list, allowed to participate in the counseling process.

DU LLB 2020 Tie-Breaking process 

If two or more candidate has scored the same marks then it is known as a tie. In such cases, the following tie-breaking procedure will be adopted. 

Steps to Break the Tie 

1. Candidates with higher marks in their qualifying exam will be given preference in the ranking.
2. Candidates with older age will be ranked higher. 

DU LLB 2020 Merit List Importance 

1. The merit is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the DU LLB 2020 entrance exam.
2. The name/roll no. of the candidates will be in descending order i,e. Higher rank to lower rank. 
3. The allotment of the seat during the counseling will be based on the merit list.
4. The candidates who have qualified the entrance examination only their name will be mentioned in the merit list.
