CLAT Application Form 2024 will be released from 1st January to 31st March 2024. Candidates need to fill the CLAT Application Form before the due date in order to avoid the last hour rush. The notification for CLAT 2024 Registration has been released in the last week of December on its official website.

CLAT is a common law entrance test to pursue law in the various UG and PG courses offered by the National Law Universities. CLAT 2024 Dates has been announced by the CLAT Consortium.

NUSRL, RANCHI is the conducting body for CLAT 2024. CLAT 2024 application will be the same for all the courses offered. While filling up CLAT 2024 certain things should be kept in mind:
  1. The CLAT Exam Form is available on its official website. 
  2. The CLAT Application Form will be available online only. 
  3. The last date to fill the CLAT Application Form is 31st march 2024.
  4. Applicants should meet the eligibility criteria i.e,
  5. Applicants should have 45% or above in their 12th Board . for SC / ST candidates should have 40 % in their 12th board.
  6. If any candidate doesn’t meet the prescribed criteria than he/she will not be considered for the admission process.
  7. The total no. of seats in CLAT 2024 is 3250 (For UG COURSES - 2500 and For PG COURSES - 750)
  8. Before filling the application form, go through the guidelines for filling the application, mentioned in the brochure.

Steps To fill CLAT 2024 Application Form

To fill the CLAT 2024 Application form follow the given steps. 
STEP 1: Go to CLAT Consortium official website site and do the registration process. 
  • To start the registration click on the application link.
  • Click on new registration 
  • Fill all the details and 
  • Enter and Confirm password
  • Click on the Register button
  • On the successful registration username and OTP will be sent to the registered mobile no. and e-mail for the activation of the account.
  • Activate the account by using OTP
  • Keep your USERNAME and PASSWORD safely.
STEP 2: Filling of application form : 
  • Log in to the candidate’s account by using username and password and start filling the application form 
 Details which need to be mentioned in the CLAT application form:
  1. Personal details - Name, email, phone number and address
  2. Your educational background- Marks or CGPA obtained in the qualifying grade XII exam
  3. The course which you are interested in taking up if in case you are selected
  4. Three test centers in the order of preference.
  5. Filling of Choices or preferences of NLUs 
  6. Preview 
STEP 3: Uploading of Documents
  • Upload the Photograph, Signature, and State of domicile certificate in the prescribed specification

STEP 4: Fee payment 
Payment has to be paid online.

The list of documents that students must keep ready before starting to fill the application form are:
  • Passport or birth certificate
  • Mark sheets of the high school
  • Mark sheet of the qualifying exam
  • The category certificate if applicable
  • The disability certificate if applicable
  • Special certificate applicable to those who are wards and dependents of freedom fighters of Bihar and Kashmiri migrants
  • NRI and NRI sponsored certificate if applicable
  • Domicile certificate under state quota
  • The applicants have to upload a photograph and signature on the form. The photo and the signature should be of size 100 kb and the photograph should be of 30m*45mm in size.

Total No. of seats in CLAT 2024 

The total no. of seats for CLAT 2024 is 2500 for UG programs and 750 for PG programs in 21 NLUs. there are more than 50000 candidates appear in the exam every year.
