Jamia Millia Islamia - 2020 Admissions Open
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), a Central University located in Delhi has promulgated the admissions for the academic session of 2020. Online application forms will be made available to the aspirants on the official website of the University from February 21 to March 25, 2020. Students can edit the forms in case of any discrepancy from March 26 to March 30, 2020. The admit cards for the entrance exams for various courses regarding the admissions will be made available online to the students between April 10 to April 15, 2020.
This article is regarding the entrance exam for the undergraduate courses of Hotel Management, Law and Business Administration.

General Guidelines
- Admission of all the eligible candidates in the various courses offered by the JMI will be done through on the basis of the score obtained by the students in the Entrance Test conducted by the same. An interview will be followed with the entrance test for some of the courses.
- Candidates obtaining less than 30% marks in the descriptive part of the Entrance Test, wherever applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview/admission.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Objective Type/ Multiple Choice questions in all programs of the University except M.Phil/ PhD.
- The absence of a candidate in any component of the Entrance Test including Written Test, Group Discussion, Interview, as the case may be, shall forfeit his/her claim for admission in the said Program.
- No application/request from candidates for rechecking/re-evaluation of Answer Scripts of an Entrance Test shall be entertained.
Application for Admission
- The Application for admission may only be submitted On-line at Jamia Millia Islamia website : jmicoe.in & jmi.ac.in .
- There is no printed application form for admission.
- The application fee may be paid either by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking.
- The application fee once received successfully at JMI’s end is non-refundable and
- no correspondence on this subject will be entertained.
- JMI shall only refund the application fee in cases of failed transactions identified at its end.
How to fill in the Application Form
Before you proceed on the process of application form submission, check whether you are eligible to sit for the entrance examination of your desired course. A candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a board/university/institute recognized by JMI.
Step I: Registration
- Candidates are required to fill in the online form available at the Jamia Admission Portal. The registration process comprises of entering basic information.
- Verify your registered account by clicking on the verification mail sent by the authorities to your registered email account.
Step II: Fill in the entrance application submission form.
- Choose your program (s), Category etc details from the given options.
- Fill in your correspondence details etc.
- The following information/details should be available with the candidate: A valid and accessible Email Id, Soft copy of candidate’s colored passport size photograph (Maximum 100KB in size) in JPG/JPEG format with White Background, Soft copy of candidate’s signature (Maximum 100 KB in size) in JPG/JPEG format.
Step III: Payment of Application Fee & Mode.
- The application form fee for the courses in general is Rs 700/-.
- The application fee must be submitted through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
Step IV: Retain a hard copy of Application form
What if I have missed the deadline to fill in the application form?
There is no announcement for the extension of dates for filling the application form by the Jamia officials yet. Students must hence keep themselves updated with the latest developments.
The Way Ahead
Students must practice plenty of mock tests so that the chances of negative marking is reduced when attempting the paper in the exam hall. Go well prepared for the exam. All the best.
