Applicants for MBA in Maharashtra Increasing
There has been a significant rise in the number of applicants for CET for admission into MBA courses. Applications for engineering courses used to be on a high earlier but the MBA applications have surpassed them this time.
Application dates have been extended from February 15, 2020 to February 22, 2020 by CET Cell of Government of Maharashtra. Total number of seats in MBA courses in Maharashtra colleges is about 36,000 seats. Number of applications already made has skyrocketed to 1,16,374.
The competition will be tough this time as the seats count is very less as compared to the applications received. The increase in the number of applications will make the competition stiff among the candidates and the fight for the admission seat will be gruesome.
Attributing this hike to joblessness post engineering, Director of G S College of Commerce, Economics and Management, Dr Ashwini Purohit said: “There are less number of jobs available after completing the engineering degree. Wide arena of opportunities open up for the students that complete the MBA. The rise in the number of applicants wishing to pursue the MBA degree is justified.”
The MAH CET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted online on March 14 and March 15, 2020. After the exam, the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will be conducted for seat allotment.
Based on the scores attained in MAH CET, the students will be allotted admission. MAH- MBA and MMS CET 2020 will be conducted online that will grant admission into Post Graduate Degree Courses in Management (MBA and MMS).
All Government of Maharashtra Management Education Institutes and University Departments of Management Education will participate in the same.

Candidates must fill the application forms for MAH CET MBA 2020 before the last date to avoid last minute hassles.
