CHANGE IN THE PATTERN OF CLAT 2020 FOCUSES MORE ON SKILLS AND CAPABILITY
CLAT 2020 which is going to held on May 10, 2020 changed its pattern by reducing no. of questions to 150 with a focus on comprehension-based questions from quantitative techniques, English, current affairs, and logical reasoning.
“The CLAT 2020 has introduced some major changes in the exam pattern . In a meeting on November 21 held by CLAT Consortium, The number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 120-150 and also the questions will be comprehension based. But the time will remain the same i.e, 2 hrs .The president of the consortium, Prof. Faizan Mustafa, also Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. said that asking students to answer 200 questions in 120 minutes is not right as it puts students under a lot of mental stress.

- Candidates will be given OMR sheets, where they have to answer by colouring the correct option.
- Question paper for UG program will include 200 multiple-choice type (MCQs)questionsNo subjective questions will be asked.
- The PG Admission test will also have the comprehension based questions but the descriptive portion will remain the same .
- PG paper will have both types of questions - subjective (100 questions) and objective (2 questions).
- Each objective type question will carry 1 mark, while for incorrect attempt 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- Meanwhile, the two subjective questions will each carry 25 marks, for a combined total of 50 marks.
- First time the Carbonised OMR Sheet will also be provided to the aspirants .

CLAT 2020 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
- Aspirants belongs to the general category or OBC category or specially abled category having 45% marks or above in their +2 exam can apply.
- Aspirants who belong to the SC or ST category having 40% marks or more in their +2 exam can apply
- Also, those students who are appearing for +2 exam in March/ April of the year of the CLAT exam can apply.
- There is no upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2020.
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR CLAT 2020 :
First candidates have to go to CLAT Consortium official website site and do the registration . After the registration is done, students should keep the username and password safely. There are other details which need to be mentioned in the CLAT application form:
- Personal details - Name, email, phone number and address
- Your educational background- Marks or CGPA obtained in the qualifying grade XII exam
- The course which you are interested in taking up if in case you are selected
- Three test centers in the order of preference.

- passport or birth certificate
- Mark sheets of the high school
- Mark sheet of the qualifying exam
- The category certificate if applicable
- The disability certificate if applicable
- Special certificate applicable to those who are wards and dependents of freedom fighters of Bihar and Kashmiri migrants
- NRI and NRI sponsored certificate if applicable
- Domicile certificate under state quota
- The applicants have to upload a photograph and signature on the form. the photo and The signature should be of size 100 kb and the photograph should be of 30m*45mm in size.
- And at last student have to do the fee payment .
